How does CareClicks.com™ work? It's actually quite simple. We partner with nonprofit organizations to create a convenient gateway for their supporters to access the internet, while providing the consumer the convenience of customizing their very own Desktop Shopping Portal, while keeping abreast of cause news and events. In addition to convenience, consumers can passively provide financial support for their organization via purchases utilizing the groups online shopping mall.
Once I customize my page, how do I make changes? All you need to do to edit "My Top 10 Links" or "My Favorite Mall Stores" is click the Modify (M) icon adjacent to the link. You can easily change photos by clicking on the photo or visiting Edit Account on your Desktop (you can also change the page color, zip code and affiliate group here as well).
Does it cost me anything to participate? Access to CareClicks.com™ is absolutely free.
How do I save money when I shop online through CareClicks.com™? Since my organization earns income on my purchase, does that mean I'm paying more? Not at all, you will never pay more at a merchant because of the financial benefit provided your organization. In fact, in many cases, you may pay considerably less for the identical purchase, due to our negotiated discounts, and listing of "insider" coupon codes (many exclusive to CareClicks.com™ ) not available at the merchant website.
Do I have to register with personal information? What about my privacy? CareClicks.com™ vigorously respects your privacy. We do not require or request your last name, address, telephone number, age, income, or credit card information. If you create an account, we ask the following basic information for the indicated reasons only:
- E-mail: This serves as your account login, and allows us to communicate important information from time to time regarding our service. You are always free to unsubscribe from receiving any communications.
- First Name: This allows us to greet you upon login e.g. Hello Bob
- Password: Prevents others from accessing your custom Desktop Shopping Portal
- Country: We need to know whether you require access to USA/Canadian retailers or UK retailers
- Zip or Postal Code: This allows automatic setting to your local weather forecast (where available), no longer requiring you to provide this data. In addition, for Community Nonprofits (e.g. schools, libraries, sports & faith-based groups etc), we can provide Desktop advertising specials from local merchants in your community.
- Affinity Group: We must know which nonprofit you are affiliated with and wish to support with your online shopping purchases.
Our only interest is for you to enter the CareClicks.com™ door to convenient access to the web, Message Board communications from your nonprofit organization, online shopping savings, and financial assistance to your cause. For further information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
How much does my group earn from my purchases? The rebate amount for each retailer is listed to the right of each merchant. Rebates vary dramatically from merchant to merchant and product to product. They are also often dependent on monthly sales volume achieved by CareClicks.com™ with specific merchants. The amount you see lists the minimum and maximum percentage or cash amount that your group receives. Remember that your group earns 100% of that amount, as CareClicks.com™ administrative expenses are already reflected in the compensation schedule.
Do you have to be a group member/supporter to participate? Everyone is free to enjoy the benefits of CareClicks.com™. In fact, you can truly help a friend or family member by showing them how to enjoy the convenience of a custom Desktop Shopping Portal, while saving money with discounts from CareClicks.com™. By doing so, you also expand the shopping network that provides rebates to your group. We have included a "Spread the Word" section on our site to make it easy for you to share our services with friends and family.
Are the funds my shopping generates tax deductible? No, funds created to your nonprofit organization are not tax deductible. Since CareClicks.com™ never knows who the "shopper" is, and we don't collect personal information about you (other than creating a basic account) you would not know how much you specifically raised for your group. Secondly, this service is designed to save you money today (review our coupon codes and nonprofit compensation vs. other "Charity" shopping sites...there is just no comparison!) Lastly, since the average consumer will generate $25-$75 annually with their shopping, any tax deduction benefit would be extremely minimal at best.
Are the CareClicks.com™ merchant shopping sites secure Our participating merchants offer an absolute secure and safe shopping experience. In fact, you probably know that. you shop at many of them already.
If I already have an account with a merchant, do I have to open a new one when benefiting from the CareClicks.com™ service? Absolutely not. Your existing account information remains with the merchant. Just login as you usually do. It's just that easy!
What do I do if I have a problem with my order? Please remember that CareClicks.com™ only takes you to the merchant. You and your personal information are anonymous to us. You should directly contact the merchant customer service department regarding the status of your order.
Why can't I see the merchant ads or links? If you have internet security with ad blocking software, you may not be able to see the merchant ads or links. To see the merchant ads and links, you will need to disable ad blocking. Norton Internet Security is one popular software that comes preinstalled on many systems. How does my favorite nonprofit organization get listed? Unlike other sites, CareClicks.com™ does not arbitrarily list nonprofit organizations. We partner with them, and all that is needed to participate in our complimentary service is completion of this brief Enrollment Form. Please click here to utilize our Spread the Word e-mail (feel free to edit) to notify them about the service.
If I place an order by telephone, or purchase from a merchants e-mail, will my group receive credit for the transaction? Unless you make a purchase from the link provided in the mall, chances are, we will not be credited with the purchase, and your organization will not benefit. Feel free to call merchants with questions, but in almost all cases, completing the transaction over the phone will not result in group income.
Do I have to join in order to shop for my favorite nonprofit? You will miss out on the many benefits the Desktop provides without joining, but you can still shop without creating an account. Be sure to bookmark their portal for future easy access.

How do we access CareClicks.com™ to post messages for supporters? Once your account is live, we will provide you with a password to access our administration area to begin communicating with supporters.
What other control do we have over content on CareClicks.com™ In addition to the Message Board, you may add up to 5 "Affinity Group Links" in the Convenience Clicks section of the Desktop. You will be adding this category (which appears directly below Headline News), as it is not listed until you include it on your Desktop. Suggested links include your Homepage, Support Us, Store etc. You can change these any time you wish. In addition, you have the ability to delete any online merchant or category in your mall. CareClicks.com™ is a family-friendly website, and does not contract with merchants focused on gambling, pornography, alcohol (other than wine) and offensive and violent products or services. However, some clients offer existing services that a mall merchant may compete with (e.g. affinity credit card), so we provide you the flexibility of excluding them from your mall.
What is the best way to communicate this program to our members? Any method is productive, as long as it's often. E-mail, website, newsletters, and face to face at local meetings, will all work well. Piggybacking on all existing communications (direct mail, telephone), especially in the early stages, is a no cost beneficial way to "get the word out". Best of all, you will be provided with a website/e-mail banner plus electronic monthly newsletters focusing on 5-10 merchants offering compelling promotions. These awareness tools are provided at absolutely no cost or marketing effort on your part. When do we get paid? You will be paid by check semi-annually, 90-180 days in arrears. This allows time for receipt of funds from the merchants, accounting, auditing, and check dispersal. For example, the April Remittance Report pays commissions on sales occurring from July through December, subject to a minimum amount earned of $75.00. If the balance is less than $75.00, it will roll over until the next semi-annual report which equals or exceeds this amount.
What exactly is a "custom" shopping portal? A custom shopping portal includes your logo, photo or banner, PMS colors and descriptive copy of your organization or the mall, with links to pertinent sections of your website or other appropriate recommended websites.
